My dad sold Holton Musical Instruments & Ludwig Drums and
met the Beatles on their first US Tour. My parents said I had
to play music to show support for my Dad's profession. We started
out in Frank's garage in the mid 60's about the same time Rich
taught me to surf. Both were a lot of fun and a great way to
meet girls. Cutback was first conceived when Rich and I went
to Hawaii in '99. We figured with a little practice, we could
end up as a bar band on Maui. I've always felt bad that I didnt
get to grow up in Hawaii.
